Blogging offers a platform that one can express himself and allows people to make comments freely. It is all governed by freedom of expression which every country is currently striving to have it respected. Apart from copyright protection, other regulation measures are not very vigorous though they may end up having a great impact on bloggers. Quite a number of people have been charged in court with regard to their blog postings or comments. Sometimes it gets to the extreme end leading to execution of the culprit especially where government issues are concerned. Such cases are always very strong because there they have solid evidence through writings archived on the websites which can be retrieved in times of need.

Playing it safe on blogging needs high self esteem as well as respect for humankind. Actions without these two virtues may land you into problems either through a court ruling or creating a bad reputation among bloggers. Even though a defined code of conduct about blogging ethics is not clear to many people, there are some guidelines that will always enhance a smooth experience in all blogging activities.

As a blogger, you need to regulate the kind of postings that are done on your site as well as the comments attracted by various postings. One should frequently scrutinize all the posts on the site to ensure that there is no post that can raise eyebrows among readers. It would be pretty nice to get rid of anonymous postings because such comments and postings may have something fishy in their content. Being the owner of a blogging site, you have to undertake the responsibility of ensuring that your site maintains a high level of integrity all the time.

You also need to evaluate your thoughts well before you unveil them to the public. If you are making comments about a certain prominent personality, you should first evaluate whether you can have the guts to say what you want to write on your blog in his presence. If you cannot do it, be sure that what you are about to post will most likely be offensive. You should therefore drop such ideas and look for other non offensive ideas or approach the same idea in a more friendly way.

Blogging is more of a social network that people help each other in making their lives better and more enlightened. For this reason, you should never hesitate to point out a trend that is not desirable among your fellow bloggers. Giving it a friendly approach will make the person in question figure out the essence of your advice and he will be bound to make a positive change. You can do this through offline communication which offers a good platform that one can disclose his views at personal level. If this does not make the situation any better, you can opt to use an intermediary to mediate your talks, possibly someone who is close enough to him. Just as the word goes, you should not approach it in a judgmental way; you should make sure that the person you are addressing views it as an issue of concern from you.
