Anyone who owns a blogging site is always conscious to have good traffic on his site all the time using cost friendly means. It’s a good idea to use all the methods in place to create impressive traffic on your site but there should be a balance on the methods you are using. You should evaluate the kind of visitors who visit your site which will help you in making decisions on the best methods to use in driving traffic to you.

Less is Best

Being an owner of a blogging site does not make you a dormant internet surfer. Once in a while you will be visiting other sites owned by other people. The attitude that you get once you land on your site of interest, may it be in terms of user interface or the adverts placed on such sites, should leave you well educated on the features which may attract clients on your site and the ones that will piss them off. In most cases, features which piss you off from a given site will most likely be a nuisance to other people as well and importing the same features onto your site should be done with great caution.

The Good and Bad of Pop Up Adverts

Any internet user or blogger will bear you witness that pop up adverts are the worst features that they have ever come across and had they the power to scrap them off, they would definitely do that on the spot. On the other side, every pop up advert leaves the blogging site owner a penny richer without much hassle. This puts the owner of such blogging sites as well as the bloggers in a dilemma. The owners feel the urge to get more pop up adverts to improve on their earnings while the bloggers wonder whether to get off the page or to simply ignore the advert and go for what they were interested in. One major factor that is acting in favor of the blog site owners is the fact that many other sites are using the same features or what one would simply refer to them as free methods of collecting free money. In the long run, the blogger knows that landing on a site without such irritating adverts can take a whole day and he does not have all the time to browse every site in search of sites without such adverts.

Bad Content

As we have said several times, content is the life of your blog. You need to post on a regular basis, daily if possible. The opposite to that is having bad content. Bad content is worse than no content at all. It has the reader lose faith in your credibility and you will quickly lose them.

All in all, the site owner has to play it wisely on issues pertaining to the use of pop up adverts. It would be wiser to use pop up adverts which attract some rewards on the user. Integrating some pop up adverts which give the bloggers simple rewards such as airtime or links to survey sites which are well paying will always neutralize the irritation made by other pop up adverts which do not benefit the blogger by any means. Sometimes blog site owners go to an extent of designing their own pop up adverts on their sites and meet the cost involved in rewarding their visitors which makes them acclimate to pop up advert nags with ease.
