Antoine Walker was one of the most productive players in Celtics history. He averaged almost 20 points per game in his rookie season and went on to average a double-double in his second season. His high scoring helped him earn his first All-Star Team selection, and he ended up making it in all three of his seasons with the team. Although his Boston Celtics career was short, his contributions as a pure scorer will forever be cherished.
During the 1960s, the Boston Celtics dominated the NBA. They won nine titles in ten seasons, including seven straight from 1960 to 1966. Only in 1967 did the team lose the championship to eventual champion Philadelphia. There were two major turning points during their dynasty, however. In 1950, Walter Brown hired former Chicago Bulls general manager and head coach Arnold “Red” Auerbach. In 1956, he traded for 6-foot-10 University of San Francisco center Bill Russell.

Boston Celtics Logo
The Boston Celtics are a professional basketball team in the NBA. The team was founded in 1903 and has had a variety of logos since. The original Celtics logo featured a white shamrock with the word “Celtics” above it. This logo was later changed to feature Lucky the Leprechaun spinning a basketball. Lucky was created by the brother of head coach Red Auerbach, who is credited with starting the Celtics’ dynasty after acquiring Bill Russell. This leprechaun is the face of the Celtics for nearly fifty years, and he received a full color makeover in 1996. While this logo is now protected by the USPTO, the name of the franchise is not.
The current Boston Celtics NBA logo was adopted in 1997 and features modern graphics and a multicolor design. The current Boston Celtics logo has been in use for over 20 years, and the team has no plans to change it. It is one of the most recognizable logos in the NBA, and is a popular choice for fans. You can even find Boston Celtics logos in different styles and colors! It will surely fit the style of your team.
In the past, the Boston Celtics have worn black bands for different reasons, but they aren’t strictly franchise-related. Aside from being a great symbol of the Celtics, it also symbolizes the team’s dedication to its players.
