Are you still not able to generate more subscribers?
If you’ve been using content upgrades, these 2 hacks, and these 3 more hacks you should, by now, have a pump in your conversion rates.
If you’ve already applied these hacks, congratulations for achieving this pump in conversions.
But I’m sure you’re wondering if there are any other hacks that could save your leads from skipping your site and increase your income on the long run.
That is why I created this new post.
You’ll discover new hacks to help you get more conversions from the traffic you get.
Are you ready?
Let’s start with the first hack.
1- Use Persuasive words proven to make action
Not all words equal. There are words that grab our attention and entice us to take action.
You need to incorprate these words always in your copy when you are asking people to subscribe to your email newsletter or want to persuade them to take any action.
But of course, don’t use them illeageally… I don’t need to worn you.
Here are the most persuasive 5 words:
- You: who don’t want the marketing message to be personalized to them? Don’t use I ever when you could talk about the other person and use You.
- free: Who don’t love free?
- Because: If you can just go a step further and emphasize why you ask them to do what you want them to do, it will give you an extra advantage of them doing it
- Instantly: People want to be rewarded… instantly. Who loves to wait?
- New: Many love new stuff.
You can read more about why these 5 words are the most persuasive.
From now on, try to incorprate 3 or even 4 of these words in your copy. If you could add all 5 then high fives 🙂
2. Turn blog comments into subscribers
Who are your most engaged readers?
It’s an easy question. Of course, the people who read every word you write and comment on them.
You always want more of these people on your list. These people are 3x more likely to buy from you.
So how to turn them into email subscribers?
You have 2 options:
- Redirect them to a thank you page, and then ask them to subscribe
- add a checkbox that asked them to receive updates before they click “send comment”
Both of these options work and the choice depends on what you prefer.
To do the first option, you could easily set it up using a wp plugin like yoast comments. You could configure it to send people to a thank you page. Craft this page carefully, and don’t forget to use the 5 persuasive words 🙂
To do the second option, you could use a plugin like Max Blog Press’s Subscribers Magnet. Make sure to make the pitch irresistable for people to ignore.
Here is an example: Don’t miss out on traffic and blogging tips. Subscribe to the new Blogging.Org newsletter. It’s free. And grab your instant bonus.
3. Use teasers in your blog posts
There is nothing that motivates us to do anything rather than curiosity. When done right, you could do wonders.
One of the ways to incorprate curiosity is using blog post teasers.
Here is what I mean…
Have you ever seen people telling you about their next post topic? you’re intrigued about the topic and you want to know about it, would you subscribe? Of course, yes.
That is what you should do.
And it would be a great idea if you’ve very lazy to apply the content upgrade technique.
Instead of leaving people to leave your site, hook them with the topic of your next post. Make them want to stick more with you.
If you hook them right, they’ll be happy to give you their email address to notify them about the post.
That is where you use the blog teasers.
You could add them at the end of your post, which most people do. You could also add it in the 1/3 of the post, before you dive into the meat of the post.
It’d be great if you could highlight it with a different background to increase your conversion rates.
Now you have 3 more hacks to add to your list and turn your blog into a lead generating machine.
You could now grab more subscribers with less traffic.
All you need is to take action, apply these hacks, and drive more traffic to your site.
But you need to take action.
Make sure to tell me the results. I’ll be happy to hear about it.
