Women’s fashion has always been a huge topic of discussion. This can clearly be seen by all of the women who are actively starting fashion social media accounts and blogs of their own. In recent years, we have discovered a huge demand for content about men’s fashion as well. This has led to a new niche for fashion bloggers.
The market for men’s fashion blogs is less saturated than the one for women. However, it is still pretty competitive, so you need to understand the niche before trying to tackle it.
List of the Top Male Clothing Blogs on the Internet Today
If you are interested in becoming a men’s fashion blogger, you should learn from similar publishers. Here are ten major men’s fashion bloggers to learn from.
FashionBeans is a blog that covers fashion tips for men that want to put on a dapper appearance. The site covers a wide range of content, from grooming and hair tips to style and fashion advice. It also has a lifestyle section.
Due to the breadth of content on FasionBeans, the site has a number of features to organize it. The top of the site has seven menus with links to broad categories of articles, including fashion, style, hair and lifestyle. Above the fold, there is a content scroller with links to the five most recent posts.
Further down the page, the site is formatted with several <div> tags. One has a one column post with recent content. Halfway down the page, there is a section where content is displayed in three columns.
Since the site is optimized for a number of lifestyle related topics, it doesn’t rank for fashion related keywords in Google. It also ranks in the number one spot on the SERPs for terms such as “hottest women” and “receding hairline.”
Mainline Menswear Blog also covers a gambit of posts including fashion and basic lifestyle advice. It also pays close attention to new fashion trends. The top menu has a link to a “Trends” section, which has a drop-down submenu that includes links to trends highlighted by the editors, seasonal topics and style icons.
Mainline Menswear Blog positions itself as a blog that projects future trends and helps people stay up-to-date with recent fashion advice. This edge helps it rank for a number of keywords related to styles that change the most frequently, such as button up shirts and designer shirts.
Men Style Fashion is another male fashion blog with a variety of related types of content. In addition to covering fashion, grooming and lifestyle advice, this blog also has articles on travel, food and technological trends. However, most of the content focuses on fashion advice. The primary demographic seems to be men in their mid-20s to early-40s.
The homepage of Men Style Fashion tries to strike a balance between highlighting as many posts as possible and driving attention to the most popular ones. At the top of the page, it has images and headlines for five trending posts. The two most popular posts have the largest accompanying images. Below the fold, the site has a “Latest Articles” section that is divided up into two columns. Further down the page, there are two sections for style posts. The first is a scrolling content bar and the second is a collage of posts with relevant images.
Even further down the page, there is a section for lots of posts on more random topics. Many of these posts aren’t specific to fashion and lifestyle advice. They are accompanied by smaller images, presumably because the site wants to draw less attention to them.
D’Marge is an Australian fashion and lifestyle blog. Unlike similar blogs, it places less emphasis on fashion related topics. At the top of the site, there are a number of posts about celebrities, lovemaking and other types of content. However, the menu bar has links to all types of fashion related articles on D’Marge.
Despite its broad focus, D’Marge has dominated the niche for fashion blogs in Australia. The site ranks for over 212,000 keywords, many of which are Australian terms.
Gentlemen’s Gazette is a more versatile fashion blog that caters to men that strive for elegance. While many male fashion blogs are limited to publishing great articles, this website also offers newsletters, pillar content on fashion style mistakes and its own clothing shop.
The top of the website is consumed by a full-page image of aristocrats from the 18th century. it also has a link to a free e-book for men that want to perfect their style.
The Fashionisto merges style advice with recent entertainment news. The website also has links to articles on online shopping advice for men. The front page also has a pop-up sign-up form for its newsletter.
The writers of The Fashionisto are more prolific than most other fashion bloggers. They publish nearly 60 articles every week.
Mens Fashion Magazine is a lifestyle and fashion blog that caters to older millennials and middle-aged men. The top of the site has links to six categories of posts. The “Fashion and Style” link has a drop-down sub-menu with links to around a dozen fashion related posts.
The top of the site has a scrolling content bar with several recent posts. Further down the page, the content is organized into three sections that each display content in two columns.
Since the site is geared towards a slightly older audience than many other fashion blogs, it ranks for a variety of keywords for its target demographic.
Menswear Style is another UK-based fashion site for men. This site appears to be geared towards a younger audience, mainly men in their early-20s to early-30s.
The first section at the top of the site has a collage of male models, with links to their portfolios. The following sections focus on upcoming fashion trends and are divided into three columns.
MenStyle1 is another fashion blog that seems to be written with older millennial men in mind. It deviates from the template of other fashion blogs by focusing almost entirely on visual content. There are at least a couple dozen images on the front page, but there aren’t links to blog posts with any that we evaluated. Many of the posts are reblogged from Tumblr.
10. The Idle Man
The Idle Man is a site that is meant for men that care about fashion, but don’t want to put a lot of effort into it. The top menu of the site has five drop-down menus, which include clothing in stock and new accessories from leading men’s fashion manufacturers.
The lower part of the site is divided into multiple sections. Each section has a different image for a background. While the content linked from the top menu covers new clothing and trends, the content shown on the front page is mostly about general fashion tips. These include blog posts about changing your wardrobe as you age and buying new clothes on a budget.
